A live photo wall, made in Ireland

Snazooka is built in Naas, Co. Kildare, by GBA Solutions. Prices are in euro with VAT included, your guests' photos are stored in the EU, and there is nothing to hire, deliver or collect. It works in any hotel, pub or community hall in the country.

What it is, and what it isn't

Snazooka is not a photo booth and not a hire. There's no equipment, nobody comes to the venue and nothing has to go back the next day. You set up your event on our website, print the QR cards yourself, and open the screen on the venue's TV or a laptop plugged into it. Your guests scan the code on the table with their own phones, and the photos they take appear on the screen as the night goes on. Afterwards you download everything.

Because there's nothing physical, it costs a fraction of a booth: one Event plan is currently €24.99 including VAT, for the whole event, however many guests.

Irish venues and their Wi-Fi

Hotel and pub Wi-Fi in Ireland can be patchy, so Snazooka is built for it. Guests upload over their own phone data, and an upload keeps trying for half an hour if the signal drops in a function room. The screen only needs a modest connection, and a phone hotspot for the laptop is enough if the venue's Wi-Fi is poor. If the screen's connection drops, it carries on showing the photos it already has.

Where your photos are kept

Everything is stored on Google Cloud servers in the EU, under Irish and EU data protection law. Photos are private to your event, are never used for advertising and are never sold. We delete the event 90 days after uploads close, and we'll remind you to download first. Companies and clubs can have our data processing agreement as well.

Who's behind it

Snazooka is made by GBA Solutions, a software company in Naas, Co. Kildare, that has been building apps for Irish businesses for the best part of a decade. It started as a photo wall for a family wedding and grew from there. If you email hello@snazooka.com, you get the people who built it.

Questions

Do you deliver anything or come to the venue?

No. Everything happens on our website and your guests' phones. You print the QR cards and put the screen on the venue's TV, which takes about five minutes with our guide.

Can I pay in euro by card?

Yes. Checkout is in euro with VAT included, and takes any debit or credit card, including Revolut cards. Your receipt arrives by email.

Can a club or company get an invoice?

Email hello@snazooka.com and we'll sort it. The card receipt shows the VAT, which is enough for most, but we can invoice if you need it.

Does it work in a rural venue with poor signal?

Guests need some phone data or Wi-Fi to upload, and the screen needs a connection too. If the venue's Wi-Fi is weak, a phone hotspot for the laptop usually does. Uploads that fail keep retrying for half an hour.

Is this the same as a photo booth?

No. A booth is a hired machine with an attendant, costing several hundred euro. Snazooka uses the phones in the room and the venue's own TV, so there's nothing to hire and it costs a fraction of that.
